WOW!!!! Mathew's story is amazing. The way he explains and describes what he went through in his childhood was breaking my heart. I wanted to jump in the story and pull him out and bring him home with me!!!

When he decided to join the Army and become an American Soldier and help defend the rights of the people he fought for - I was in tears!!! Oh yes, this is an amazing story that will keep you on the end of your seat - wondering what is going to happen next. The way he portrayed the things that he experienced in Iraq was unreal. How our soldiers put up with what goes on - I can never imagine totally, BUT Mathew did an awesome job with telling his story.

I truly recommend this book but warn you that you might want to have a tissue close at hand.

About the author:

I am a retired electrical engineer, my career of 41 years spent mostly in Silicon Valley, California. I was one of those extremely fortunate individuals who enjoyed their work so much that it seemed unfair that I should be paid to perform it.

My profession required some technical writing but I never aspired to author anything that would be interesting to the general reader. Doomed Soul is my first attempt to do so and I hope that its introduction is a clear explanation why I chose to do it.

I have to date not read any books by Dorlana Vann - BUT, I can guarantee that I will be looking for books of hers to read in the future!!!

Snowmen is a different type book for me to read but OMG it was amazing!!! The book moves quickly and keeps you on the edge of your seat, wondering what is going to happen next. I love the way that the author introduces characters throughout the book. Haley Monroe (the main character) has learned the definition of SNOWMEN the hard way. But - like so many females - is oblivious as to who they continue to reel women in with their tactics!!! I don't write spoilers - so I can't tell you much more about the adventures that Haley goes through in the book. BUT - believe me, once you start reading, you will be so entwined in the story that you will not want to stop until you finish the book!!!
